Guide to mould rubbers:
Castaldo White Label®, the less expensive and firmer
of our two grades, has a high concentration of pure natural gum rubber,
which makes it resilient and pliable, qualities that the experienced
mold-maker values in his efforts to produce high-quality molds in the
shortest reasonable time.
Castaldo Gold Label® contains even more pure natural
gum rubber, making it even softer and more pliable. Experienced
mold-makers know that this compounds superior qualities can save them
substantially on labour costs when used for difficult molds containing
undercuts, where a stiffer mold would break delicate wax patterns or
would make their production impossible altogether. |

Castaldo®
Now you can make high-volume, heat-cured production molds directly from CAD/CAM or rapid prototyping patterns quickly and without damage to the pattern from heat or pressure. Castaldo VLT vulcanizes at temperatures as low as 160°F (71°C). At this low temperature you can even make a mold from a wax pattern. And shrinkage is only 1.4%, because of the low curing temperature.
Since it is silicone rubber, Castaldo VLT produces highly detailed wax injections with extremely smooth surfaces that require less finishing. Waxes are self-releasing and need no release agents, and molds are easy to pack and cut. Castaldo VLT is sold by the pound in 18" long x 3/8" thick strips. Two widths are available: 2 7/8" and 5 3/4". Curing time is as follows.
160°F (71°C) 90 minutes :
180°F (82°C) 45 minutes :
170°F (76°C) 60 minutes :
190°F (88°C) 30 minutes |

( 6 mm x 7.3 cm x 45.7 cm ). Packed in boxes containing 5 lbs.

There is no need for messy mold release spray. Castaldo Super High Strength Silicone Jewelry Molding Rubber gives waxes a smooth, shiny finish that won’t stick to the mold. And shiny waxes mean less finishing!

No Shrink Pink©: No Shrink Pink is a vulcanizing rubber that produces wax castings of exactly the same size of your original model in approximately 90 minutes, depending on size.

Economical way to buy mold rubber.
Rolls measure 18" wide x 1/8" thick. The 5 lb. roll is 3 1/2' long and the 50 lb.
Roll is 35' long.
Lined with white cloth (White Label) or golden colored cloth (Gold Label) one side and blue plastic on the other side.

New LiquaFast ICE from CASTALDO is a transparent two-part 0% shrinkage RTV silicone molding rubber that cures very rapidly at normal room temperatures and cures even faster at slightly warmer temperatures.
That means that you can make a mold from your CAD CAM, RP and SLA models in the morning, shoot waxes 30 minutes later and cast them that afternoon. No more waiting.
New LiquaFast ICE makes strong, tough, tear-resistant permanent molds that last and last and do not become soft with age.
Normal cure time is only 60 - 90 minutes. Faster cure is possible at only 50 degrees C.
LiquaFast ICE is economical, costing far less than traditional silicone RTV materials.
