Large Felt Cones (Pointed and Round)

Solid felt polishing cones help jewellers finish concave surfaces and recessed areas that are difficult to reach with a flat buff. Choose pointed or rounded profiles in three sizes, from 1/2" x 1" to 1" x 2". Each cone has a pin-hole centre for mounting and is used with a polishing compound suited to the metal and finish required.

Pointed or Rounded Felt Cones

Choose a pointed cone for access to narrower recesses and a rounded cone for broader curved or concave surfaces. Match the cone size to the working area so that it can reach the surface without restricting movement. Both profiles are available in 1/2" x 1", 3/4" x 1.5" and 1" x 2" sizes.

Polishing with Solid Felt

Use a suitable mounting spindle or mandrel for the cone and check the mounting requirements before use. Keep separate cones for each polishing compound to avoid carrying coarser abrasive into the final polishing stage. Work with light, controlled pressure to help preserve contours and avoid unnecessary heat build-up.
