Using Half Sizes

A set with half sizes gives an intermediate fit between two whole letter sizes. If one size feels too tight and the next too loose, try the half size between them to refine the fit. Choose a gauge width and inside profile close to the intended ring, as these affect how it feels on the finger. Record the half size clearly when ordering or making the ring.

Loose Sets & Contained Sets

A loose finger gauge set allows individual sizes to be handled and tried on separately. Return each gauge after use and check that the set remains complete. A contained or boxed set provides a dedicated place for the gauges, making it easier to keep the sizes together, organise them and spot a missing size.

Our Ring Size Table shows letter sizes and half sizes alongside inside diameters in millimetres. In the table, a + immediately after a letter indicates an additional half size.
