Full-Sized Felt Buffs
Felt polishing wheels provide a firm working surface for applying polishing compounds to jewellery. Choose from a range of wheel diameters and thicknesses, with medium, hard and extra hard grades identified on individual products. Square edges give a defined contact surface for polishing flat areas and edges.
Check each product for its size, firmness and centre fitting to suit your polishing setup.
Choosing a Felt Polishing Wheel
Select the diameter and thickness for the area you need to polish and the clearance available on your machine. Firmer felt holds a more defined working edge; use light pressure around sharp edges and fine detail. Centre fittings vary, so check the individual product details before fitting a wheel.
Polishing Compounds and Buff Care
Use a polishing compound suited to the metal and the stage of finishing. Keep a separate felt buff for each compound to avoid carrying coarser abrasive into the final polish, and clean the jewellery between stages. Excess pressure and compound buildup can reduce control and obscure the surface you are working on.
