Designed to be exceptionally light and rigid, this saw frame provides precise control, reduced blade breakage, and virtually no flex. Best of all, the hardened aluminium frame weighs only 118 grams, more than 50 grams lighter than a comparable steel saw frame. It holds standard 5-1/8" jewellers’ saw blades. Its unique tensioning system makes mounting the saw blade simple and easy--without your having to wedge the handle against your chest to accomplish it.
please note: This saw frame is precisely designed to hold saw blades that are 5-1/8" (130mm) long, the standard length of a jeweler's saw blade. Always check the length of any new saw blade before installing it; longer blades must be trimmed to this length, shorter blades will not work in this frame.

These precision sawframes are for use with piercing, flat and spiral sawblades.
Serrated clamps hold blades firmly. Strongly constructed with flat steel frames, hardwood handles and thumb-screw locking devices.
Most common depth is 2-1/4" (57 mm), while others are for use when greater cutting depth is required.

Revolutionary design in three lightweight, perfectly balanced sawframes. Ergonomic handles reduce fatigue and provide greater dexterity. Patented blade-lock design eases blade insertion, maintains perfect alignment and eliminates wobble which reduces blade loss during use.
* Manufactured at Grobet's factory, Scies Miniatures, in Vallorbe, Switzerland.
* Set screws can be used on either the left or right side of the frame according to your preference. 2-3/4" (70 mm) deep.
* Blade tightening screw must be opened wide enough to allow sawblades to be inserted all the way.
