An important note about shank sizing.

The professional jewellery industry has standardised on a shank size of 2.35 mm (3/32")

Many hobby motor manufacturers have selected "3mm" as their size (Often 1/8" (3.18 mm) - Burs that we supply will not fit into a collet designed for this size of bur. Trying to tighten a larger collet down to hold a smaller shank size can result in damage to both the collet and the chuck when it is over-torqued.

It is essential to match the bur's shank size to your specific rotary tool or handpiece to ensure proper fit, safe operation, and optimal performance.

We do not recommend attempting to attempt to fit the bur into a larger collet with spacers or shims, as this can result in a bur that has excessive run-out.

Any return of burs because they do not fit your handpiece will be treated as a change of mind return
